Georges Braque, Blackbird, 1967
Georges Braque (13 May 1882 – 31 August 1963) was a revolutionary French painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor. He had a strong early alliance with the Fauvist Movement and was instrumental in the development of Cubism. Between 1908 and 1912, Braque's work was very closely associated with Pablo Picasso’s, a colleague at the time. Their Cubist works were indistinguishable for many years. His work can be viewed in major museums across the world.
